The Fox Theater Oakland is a historic theater located in Oakland, CA. Built in 1928, the Fox is known for it’s ornate design and stunning architecture. The theater features a large stage, seating for up to 2,800 people, and is known for its excellent acoustics. The theater's design is a blend of the Moorish Revival and Mediterranean Revival architectural styles and it's considered a great example of the "atmospheric" theater style, where the audience feels like they are sitting in an open-air courtyard. The theater was closed for 40 years prior to being restored and reopened in 2009. It has since become a popular venue for live music, theater performances, comedy shows, and other events.
In 2009 UltraSound was called on to install the permanent sound system for the newly remodeled Fox Theater in Oakland, CA. Additionally, UltraSound provides FOH and Monitor equipment for all events at The Fox.
